Information
This project of a new build single-family house – 330m- in two floors means a challenge of integration with the topography.
The site -1500 m2- borders Cuenca Alta del Manzanares Regional Park has granitic terrain that appears to the surface , that means a unique opportunity for design integration with exsiting vegetation and topography. The granitic terrain implies the situation of the project in the north side of the site, in order to open the house into the park. In front of the building a swimming pool will be placed at ground floor.
The house comprises a main floor divided in three modules at different levels, certainly separated between them. The main volume is oriented to the south-west,frames the views to the park, containing the entrance and main corridor as distributor to the rest of rooms. The main bedroom is located in this module, in the first floor. The rest of the modules are oriented nort-south but open to south-west contain the rest of residential programme.
The brief includes a private area with a master bedroom with bathroom and dressing room, an area for children with two bedrooms, a bathroom and living room. Guest area consisting of bedroom, bathroom, office, and auxiliary room in addition to a main living area for daytime use with three articulated living, kitchen and dining areas and ancillary spaces. The client’s main premise is the presence of south-west views.
Construction systems are set out as an integrated structural system that is seismic resistant, thermally and acoustically insulated, and is based on a set of structural panels. Each element is constituted by a 3D structure with high resistance steel formed by two flat meshes strongly interconnected by multiple perpendicular bars. The space left between the steel meshes is occupied by the insulating plate with characteristics suited to the needs of the project. This set is completed on site by applying two layers of concrete of predetermined thickness either by pneumatic projection or pouring into formwork.
