Acoustic Design Consultancy for acoustic improvement of the Tenerife Auditorium Adán Martín by the architect Santiago Calatrava. The proposed acoustic design aims to integrate an acoustic engineering solution into an emblematic architectural project for the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Due to the echo produced in the first rows by the side walls of the original stage projected at 45º, the project contemplates the manufacture and installation of a new modular acoustic system (Acoustical Shell), removable and with four base configurations, considering the multifunctionality of activities that The definition and analysis of uses, architectural redesign and regulated parameters for this type of enclosure must be developed and necessary for this purpose, with the determination of materials, capacities of the existing rigging system and the spaces available for its storage. It is required to increase the degree of sound control on the stage in different formats, improving the quality perceived by users (production and orchestra), both in terms of logistics and acoustic comfort, and in general for the activities required by the technical leadership of the theater related to its use

One of the greatest contributions of an acoustic shell is the positive impact that is reflected in the musicians and their performance skills. This is possible due to improvements in communication between them and with the manager. An acoustic shell provides controlled sound reflections with a touch of color, allowing the driver to perceive each instrument with better definition, and thus better control of the dynamics of each player.

The most important factor for theater technicians is the assembly time. With these types of towers, you can set up the stage in less than an hour (depending on each case), including ceiling diffusers. In addition, the Tenerife shell was designed for 5 configurations that allow the orchestra to play from 10 to 70 musicians plus the choir
